You must always remember you are braver than you believe. Stronger than you seem
Christopher Robin
When children receive a diagnosis of cancer, our hearts collectively break. Worldwide, about 400,000 children and adolescents are diagnosed with cancer each year.¹ Since September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, what are the facts?
The Facts
- Cancer is the leading cause of death by disease past infancy for U.S. children
- The most common cancer in children is leukemia, a type of blood cancer
- 43 children in the U.S. are diagnosed with cancer every day

The Encouraging News
Thanks to better therapies, more than 80% of U.S. childhood cancer patients now become long-term survivors. However, around the world, rates of survivorship are lower; there is more work to do for our kids worldwide. Many great organizations and hospitals work tirelessly researching new treatments and cures to benefit young ones worldwide, and we are all so grateful for their hard work!
So as we take September to honor our young cancer patients, we also think of their families and loved ones that support them on this challenging journey. Also, we send our gratitude to the doctors, nurses, scientists, and others that take such great care of these precious young ones, and also seek out cures on their behalf.

We at Graham-Field are honored that we can support these amazing kids, their families, and their healthcare teams with quality products they can trust and depend on.
