Aging Is not lost youth but a new stage of opportunity and strength.
Betty Friedan
September is Healthy Aging Month, and we here at Graham-Field could not be happier to celebrate the healthy lives of our seniors! According to the National Institute on Aging[1], many factors contribute to healthy aging with some things like genetics being out of our control. However, things such as a healthy diet, exercising regularly, going to the doctor, and monitoring our mental health will go a long way to contributing to healthy aging.

Sometimes circumstances call for healthy aging to take place in an extended care facility. We here at Graham-Field are proud to be able to assist extended care facilities with our total design team. Whether it’s a new facility, or a remodel, our team is well versed in industry codes and regulations that assist in creating a safe haven of healthy aging for residents and staff alike.
So whether young or reaching those senior years, it is important to do all we can to age in a healthy way!
