Never lose sight of the people who are the foundation of the future you are working to build

A bright future starts with wisdom from the past.
February is International Prenatal Infection Prevention Month. So, getting a child’s bright future off to a good start early, parents do everything they can to protect their unborn babies from infections. What can mothers do to protect these precious lives?
According to Group B Strep International¹, the steps are simple:
- Hand washing, for example, is an important health habit helping to prevent many diseases such as listeria, e-coli, and of course coronavirus.
- Also, pregnant women and their babies are at greater risk for foodborne illnesses, so safe food preparation is very important.
- Too, a pregnant woman’s environment can be a danger, so things such as cigarette smoke and being careful when outdoors with pests such as mosquitoes and ticks should be kept in mind.

So, the kids are our future. May their start be a healthy one!
